Kess was rescued from Whatcom County Animal Control in 2004.  She takes being a border collie very seriously, and is a high drive hard working gal.  She started competing in canine disc in 2007, and showed excellent disc dog potential.  In 2008 Kess developed a limp in her hind leg.  After visiting numerous vets it was finally diagnosed as a rare form of cancer in Oct 2010, one week later Kess started her new life as a tripawd.  Kess was back to competing in disc in May 2011.  In addition to disc competitions Kess has earned her Flyball Dog Champion-Gold title, and trains in herding and agility.
