The City of Kirkland in conjunction with Kirkland Dog Offleash Group (K-Dog) and Washington Owners of Flying Disc Dogs (WOOFD²) is proud to announce the first annual Go Dog Go! Canine Festival, on July 25, 2009.  This event will be held in Crestwoods Park in Kirkland, WA.   Area residents and their canine companions can come out to enjoy games and contests, flyball and agility demonstrations, and the Cascade Classic Canine Disc Championship. 

 

This event is free to the public and will be advertised heavily in the Kirkland area.   An ad will run in the Kirkland Summer guide and event posters and flyers will be displayed throughout the community.  We expect several hundred people to attend this howling good time.  The goal of all this fun is to raise funds to maintain the cities dog waste clean-up stations, with the ultimate goal of creating an off leash park in Kirkland.  A limited number of vendor spots are available; please email Adriana Ericson at tombi_ericson1@hotmail.com for details. 

 

We are currently looking for sponsors for the 2009 Go Dog Go Canine Festival.  There are several ways to contribute to the event. 

 

· Sponsor one of the free games that will be held throughout the day such as bobbing for tennis balls and musical chairs.   (50 item minimum)

· Provide products to be included in event goodie bags.  This would require a minimum donation of 300 items.

· Donate items as prizes for the raffle to be held during the event.  Funds from the raffle will go towards the creation of an offleash park

 

All sponsors will be displayed on the event promotional materials.  If you have banners or signage we can display it at the event.  If you have other ideas of sponsorship we would be happy to work out the details with you.
